Matthew Couture, a local Vermonter, graduated from Castleton State College in 2013 with a major in Honors Psychology and minors in Theatre Arts and Statistics. He began working in higher education in 2015 in the Registrar’s Office at Green Mountain College and transitioned to the VTSU Financial Aid office in 2020. In his free time he enjoys hiking, cooking, and Dungeons and Dragons.

Nikiah Viger is a local to the Castleton Campus area, growing up in Fair Haven, VT. She holds a BA in Psychology from the College of St. Joseph and an M.Ed. in School Counseling, accompanied by a Certificate in Admissions Counseling, from Suffolk University.

Nikiah has been in the field of financial aid since 2012. She returned to her alma mater, College of St. Joseph, where she served as a Financial Aid Counselor for over 4 years. In 2016, she joined VTSU as a Senior Financial Aid Officer.

Beyond her career, Nikiah finds joy in spending quality time with her family and friends, especially her two children. She’s an avid supporter of her children’s interests, particularly their passion for dance and sports.
