Professor

After spending several years as a news photographer and live truck operator in New England and Upstate New York, life brought me back to Lyndon campus where I have been teaching since August of 2008.

Most days you can find me working with students who are part of the Vermont Center for Community Journalism (VCCJ) at Vermont State University – Lyndon Campus (my Alma Mater). I oversee NewsLINC, an award winning student news website, and work with student photographers and directors in our multi-award winning college newsroom, News7. I also oversee all of the social media work done by students in the newsroom.

In addition to my job working with budding journalists, I teach courses in cinema, writing, and social media within the Communications curriculum.

Passion for journalism and storytelling runs deep with me. I am a National Trustee for the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences representing the New England chapter, and find ways to enhance my students learning experiences by tapping into the brains of the professionals.
