Taylor Tobias received his Ph.D in History from Florida State University and joined VTSU in Fall of 2022. His research centers on the circulation of culture in the empires of the late 19th and early 20th century, with a special focus on traveling theatre companies in the British Empire. He is a regular participant at the North American Conference on British Studies and his latest publication can be found in the journal, Britain and the World (Edinburgh University Press). Taylor Tobias’ teaching fields include modern Europe, modern Asia, the British Empire, and the history of performance.
