RANDOLPH, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – Vermont State University’s early numbers for enrollment look promising, the university announced Monday.
While actual enrollment numbers won’t be known until the school year starts in the fall, enrollment deposits – payments made in order for incoming students to secure their spots in next year’s class – are up 15% according to the university’s preliminary numbers. Deposits for first year students are up 20%, and deposits for students transferring from a Community College of Vermont to VTSU are up 30% from last year.
“While it is still early in our enrollment cycle, this is a positive sign of good things to come,” said VTSU Vice President of Enrollment, Maurice Ouimet. “The bottom line is more students are committing to VTSU this year.”
