Ryan Nest

Ryan majored in clinical mental health counseling at Vermont State University Williston, and the program’s unique intensive weekend format—combining in-person and remote classes—helped him balance work and school. Years after graduating, he still stays closely connected with his professors while working as a mental health counselor at a local high school.

“I had a really great experience. The network the clinical mental health community offers is truly special. We had a really cool cohort, and we stuck together through the program and got close on a professional and personal level. As far as the academic portion of it, it really helped me prepare for all the clinical cases I see on a day-to-day basis.”
