After over ten years as a public school educator in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Hill Taylor turned her professional attention toward helping higher education students achieve their academic and professional goals at Vermont State University. With three children of her own in college, Hill understands the importance of having friendly and knowledgeable campus resources available to Vermont State University students.

Hill received her Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) in English from Oklahoma State University. She spent over five years working in special education, before teaching art for an additional five years and being named Site Teacher of the Year in 2018. As an abstract expressionist painter, Hill has also had three solo art exhibitions, as well as participated in several collaborative exhibitions and projects in the Tulsa area. Most recently, in March 2025, Hill was selected to be a featured artist in the She Makes Art exhibition at the Liggett Studio, which showcased female artists in the Tulsa area whose work drew attention to current social issues. Hill has also managed a successful part-time career as a portrait and marketing photographer for over fifteen years.

When she isn’t on campus, Hill is enjoying life with her husband and dogs as a new Vermonter! She never passes up the opportunity to add a new stamp to her passport, and is an avid travel photographer. When it comes to dogs, Hill has never met a stranger! As a music enthusiast, her downtime includes a solid cup of coffee and a record from her growing vinyl collection.
