You will graduate from Vermont State prepared to pursue licensure and may receive a recommendation for a Special Education endorsement by returning to earn six additional credits.

Experience in Special Education: After earning this degree, students may return to take just six more credits to receive their recommendation for a Special Education endorsement. Special educators are in high demand in Vermont.

Internships & Jobs in Inclusive Adolescent Education
You’ll complete numerous fieldwork placements in schools, including two practicums in your content-area, one practicum in special education, and a semester-long semester of student teaching. You’ll graduate with the skills and knowledge needed to enter the profession, advocate for children and youth, and use critical thinking and analysis to help all children succeed in school and beyond.

The Inclusive Adolescent Education program is pending approval by the Vermont Agency of Education (AOE) Results Oriented Program Approval (ROPA) process, which is overseen by the Vermont Standards Board for Professional Educators.
