Quick Tips
- Walk with others – There’s safety in numbers. When possible, walk to and from class with friends or people heading in the same direction.
- Stay alert and confident – Keep your head up, scan your surroundings, and walk with purpose. Awareness is your best defense.
- Trust your instincts – If something feels off, don’t ignore it. Head to a populated area and contact Public Safety immediately.
- Secure your vehicle – Always lock your car and keep valuables out of sight.
- Be prepared – Have your keys in hand before reaching your car or residence hall.
- Secure entrances – When entering your residence hall, close the door behind you.
- Don’t hold the door – Only allow access to individuals you know. Report suspicious activity to Public Safety.
