Bruce Moreton is in his 25th season as the men’s tennis coach at Castleton.
From 2006-2018, Castleton posted a winning record in 11 of its last 12 seasons in the NAC, compiling a 139-85 (.621) record. During that time, the Spartans captured seven North Atlantic Conference Championships and were runners-up twice. Between 2006-2011, Moreton led the program to six straight titles and coached a pair of NAC Player of the Year honorees and three Rookie of the Year honorees.
Moreton spent 17 years as a coach at the high school level, posting a 101-22 record at Cathedral High in Natchez, Miss. He also captured seven state championships and was runner-up another six seasons. Additionally, he won three conference titles and two district championships coaching for Hendersonville High in North Carolina.
Coach Moreton, a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, grew up in Natchez, Mississippi, and has coached high school championship teams and nationally ranked players in Mississippi and in North Carolina.
He currently resides in Wallingford, VT, where he owns and directs a primitive summer camp for boys.
