Eliza Goodell grew up in Newbury, VT and graduated from Oberlin College, where she earned a degree in Geology with a minor in Music. She has conducted research on Antarctic sea ice and phytoplankton, as well as on Lake Erie and coastal Maine primary production. She also spent time at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences conducting geomicrobiology research, before joining the DRACO lab at VTSU as a scientist studying Arctic environments. In her free time she enjoys being outside and playing music.
