Jacob Park is Associate Professor & Chair, Business Department @ Vermont State University, Castleton (USA) and Visiting Professor, University of Johannesburg (South Africa), who specializes in the research and teaching of climate change/energy transition and sustainable business/technology innovation, with a special focus/expertise on emerging/developing countries in sub-Saharan Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.
Dr. Park is also the Chair of Business, Best Practice, and Accountability Theme/Commission on Environmental, Economic, and Social Policy (CEESP) of the IUCN World Conservation Union and has been a regular scientific contributor to a number of global business and sustainability initiatives (including Lead Author, UN Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services; Coordinating Lead Author, UN Environment Global Environment Outlook (GEO-7) Report, Expert Reviewer, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) among others).
Jacob is also a strong believer in all things Vermont and contributes locally as a Board member of the Vermont Foodbank; Vermont Energy Investment Corp (VEIC) and Vermont Businesses For Social Responsibility Research and Education Foundation (VBSR REF).
