I graduated from Williamstown High School in 1983 and went on to graduate from Vermont Technical College with an associate degree in electrical engineering technology in 1987. I was hired by IBM at the Esses Junction facility in the summer of 1987 as a semiconductor equipment maintenance technician and I worked on the first 200mm diffusion and low pressure chemical vapor deposition equipment in the world.
After 5-years, I decided to step into a management position in 1993 in manufacturing and maintenance. I have held many managerial positions as an Engineering Project Level Manager, Member of the Senior Management Leadership Team, Engineering Operations manager, Talent Acquisition Manager, Repair and Refurb Project Level Manager, Continuous improvement and Inventory Manager, Strategic Planning Optimization Manager, Capacity and Industrial Engineering Manager, IT/Analytics Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Systems, Scheduling, and Dispatch Manager, and a Manufacturing and Maintenance Manager.
I became an adult learner and attended Vermont Technical College and obtained my Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Technology in 2008. I attended Clarkson University post my undergraduate degree and achieved my graduate degree in Engineering and Global Operations in 2010.
My passion has been in the field of talent acquisition and workforce development. In 2018, I worked with Vermont Technical College to develop an equipment maintenance technician apprenticeship program which has been greatly successful. I also am a high school boys basketball coach and I have been coaching for about 18 years now. I thoroughly enjoy my time with student athletes and watching them grow as players, but more importantly, as human beings has been the highlight of my life, excluding my family of my wife, two daughters and two grandsons.
I decided to leave GlobalFoundries after 37 years and I accepted a position April of 2024 and I currently work for the Center for Workforce and Professional Education. My objective is to help and assist VTSU-Williston and GlobalFoundries in their outreach endeavors to target high school and tech center students to enter the GlobalFoundries Maintenance Technician Program.
