Kristel Killary is an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator for Resort & Hospitality Management at Vermont State University. She brings an applied, industry-informed approach to teaching, integrating classroom instruction with real-world resort experience to prepare students for professional careers in hospitality and tourism.

Kristel has more than 15 years of experience in marketing and communications within the resort industry, providing expertise that spans strategic planning, brand communication, and operational practice. Her teaching emphasizes experiential learning and the development of strong industry partnerships, ensuring students gain practical skills aligned with current industry needs.

She is committed to supporting students as they translate academic knowledge into meaningful and sustainable careers in hospitality, tourism, and outdoor recreation.

Kristel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Communications and Media Studies, both from Castleton University.
