Kristin Eastman is the Associate Director of the McNair Scholars Program at VTSU Castleton.
Kristin holds a MS in Counselor Education from East Carolina University and a BM in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. She came to VTSU after almost 15 years serving students as jr/sr high school counselor. She also previously served as a regional director for international high school students. Kristin has always been passionate about providing support to students and she is committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. She is grateful to be able to follow her passion while supporting McNair Scholar Students at VTSU.
Outside of work, Kristin enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, playing games, exploring the outdoors, traveling, gardening, cooking, woodworking, and attending concerts/musicals. She also plays flute and piano, loves to read about other people and different cultures, and is always up to learning about or trying new things!
