Professor

Lori Stroutsos, CPA, is a full-time Professor of Business and teaches courses in accounting, finance, management, and marketing. She is dedicated to helping students develop the analytical, ethical, and communication skills needed to succeed in today’s rapidly changing business environment.

Professor Stroutsos earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Castleton State College and a Master of Fine Arts from Vermont College of Fine Arts, Norwich University. Her educational background reflects her belief that successful professionals benefit from both analytical expertise and creative thinking. This interdisciplinary perspective shapes her teaching philosophy and encourages students to approach complex issues with curiosity, adaptability, and innovation.

In addition to her academic work, Professor Stroutsos is an interdisciplinary artist and photographer whose creative practice informs her approach to teaching, problem-solving, and communication. She believes that both business and the arts share a common foundation: the ability to observe carefully, think critically, and create meaningful solutions.

Professor Stroutsos is proud to be part of Vermont State University’s mission of providing accessible, student-focused education that prepares graduates to contribute positively to their communities, professions, and the broader world.

During the 2026-2027 academic year, Professor Stroutsos will be on sabbatical, completing a study on the nature and control of knowledge in the 21st century and the responsibility and role of higher education in preparing students to navigate our rapidly changing environment through critical and creative thinking.
