Lucy Allen Tenenbaum, Applied Voice Professor, graduated with a BA in Music from Skidmore College in 1999, and, in 2014, received a Master of Music Education in Choral Pedagogy from the University of Kansas. She studied voice at Boston University in 1972, in Freiburgh Germany in 1975, and from various private teachers over the years. As well as teaching voice at Castleton University, she has a newly refurbished studio at her home in Rutland. She has been the choir director at Champlain Valley Unitarian Universalist Society since 2014, and of Ladies’ Night Out Women’s Chorus, an open-to-all community choir, since 2000. Since 1973 she has made a living as a piano tuner-technician. She lives with her husband Phil. She enjoys spending time gardening, bird watching, reading and travel.
