I am a nurse educator and researcher with a passion for advancing clinical practice through evidence-based teaching and scholarly inquiry. I earned my PhD in Nursing Education from Widener University, my MS in Nursing from the University of Maryland, and my BSN from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Following my doctoral work, I completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the Department of Veterans Affairs in East Orange, NJ, where I conducted research focused on understanding PTSD and pain sensitivity.

My academic interests include nursing education, curriculum design, and strategies to enhance student engagement in clinical learning environments. I have published and presented on topics ranging from health concerns to best practices in nursing pedagogy. Throughout my career, I have sought to bridge the gap between theory and practice, mentoring the next generation of nurses while contributing to the evidence base that shapes professional standards. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, swimming and reading.
