Professor Bannister has been a registered dental hygienist since 1999 and was a full-time faculty member in the Department of Dental Hygiene from 2007 until 2022. She was the President of the Vermont State Dental Hygienists’ Association and was involved in the passage of 2016 legislation to increase access to dental care in Vermont. She continues to teach in the A.S. and degree completion program on a part time basis.
