Artists Chrystal Bean and Julie Griffith were both considered “non-traditional” college students. They each came to the Community College of Vermont with a wealth of lived experience before transferring to Castleton to earn their Bachelor’s degrees. Now, both artists are candidates for the Master’s of Fine Arts degree through Vermont State University. Their work is ‘candid’, open and forthright. In different ways, both artists explore themes of connection, healing, and the complexities of human existence in today’s world.
