Veterans Day Presentation: World War I Veterans of Orwell, Vermont
November 11 | 7:00 pm – 7:30 pm
The VTSU Castleton Soundings Program presents Veterans Day Presentation: World War I Veterans of Orwell, Vermont on Monday, November 11th at 7:00 PM in the Jeffords Auditorium. Zackery Quesnel, recent VTSU History Department graduate, presents his findings on the service of the 38 veterans of World War I of his hometown of Orwell, Vermont, and what their service and their sacrifices teach us about WWI and what it means to be a veteran. He hopes by sharing these stories that people will be inspired to take up the search and learn more about the veterans of their own towns also, so that we might all live up to the sacred promise made to those honored dead: we will remember them. Soundings students are required to sign up in advance to guarantee a seat. This event is free and open to the public.
