August 17 Update on the COVID-19 Coronavirus

August 17, 2020

Dean of Students, Jason Enser, sent the following information to all students regarding the self-attestation protocol for the fall semester:

Greetings Vermont Tech Student,

As Vermont Tech prepares to return to the fall semester, there are some new procedures that all employees and students will be required to perform daily. One is taking and entering your temperature, and the other is answering a short series of questions regarding your COVID risk and potential symptom check. You are required to enter this information in an electronic account hosted by Castle Branch.

Registering for your CB Bridges account only takes a few minutes, and entering your daily information is quick and easy on a computer, tablet, or smart phone. The Castle Branch COVID screening tool is provided at no cost.

Here are the steps that you need to take by August 22, 2020:

  1. Using this registration form and package code, create your Castle Branch CB Bridges COVID account at https://mycb.castlebranch.com/
  2. Wait up to 24 hours for your account to be set up.
  3. Login to your CB Bridges account to record your temperature and answer the COVID screening questions.
  4. Depending on your program, you may be required to show your morning’s entries as your “ticket to lab”.

Please note that you are required to enter your information starting 14 days before you will be on campus and every day while you are on campus. For those coming to campus before 9/5 you should start logging info in no later than 8/22 as you are only receiving this information now. The CB Bridges COVID tool keeps a rolling 14 day log that is extremely important for symptom and risk tracking.

You will notice the Castle Branch system asks for you to do temperature checks twice a day. We are only requiring this once and asking you to do this in the AM. If you get a message that you are in non-compliance for the second day check please disregard. The Castle Branch system also asks for your social security number. We are not requiring this information. Please feel free to list your ss # as 111-11-1111 to bypass this question.

We have created a tutorial video if you have questions about using Castle Branch. If you have additional questions, please email studentaffairs@vtc.edu.

Thank you for registering for your account today and for tracking your information throughout the semester!
