During routine surveillance testing on Monday, one residential student tested positive for COVID-19. Their results were received Tuesday and the student was immediately moved to campus isolation. Contact tracing identified five residential and two commuter students as close contacts, who are now in quarantine.
No faculty or staff were considered close contacts. The seven students in quarantine were tested again today, and will be retested on Day 7 (March 15). They will be able to leave quarantine if they continue to test negative on Day 7.
We are working with the Department of Health and monitoring students’ well-being during isolation and quarantine.
Thank you for your continued diligence and adherence to safety protocols.
