Randolph Residence Life

The 544-acre Randolph campus is located in the heart of central Vermont, with access to the mountains, lakes, resorts, and arts that Vermont is known for. Experience the area’s natural beauty from the fire tower at Allis State Park, located at the summit of Bear Hill. The Ridgeline Outdoor Cooperative’s Randolph Trails network offers 20 miles of mountain bike trails in the area, with a two-mile loop right on campus. For cross-country skiers, the VAST snowmobile trails are easily accessed from campus. In fall, our apple orchard is ready for picking, and in winter our greenhouse offers a warm spot to visit!

Minutes away in downtown Randolph, the Chandler Music Hall and Center for the Arts offers a variety of performances year-round. The campus is an easy drive to Saskadena Six and Killington resorts, too. While visiting Killington you can connect with peers studying with Vermont State’s Resort and Hospitality Management program located right at the resort! An easy drive, the Turnbridge World’s Fair, going strong for 150 years, offers traditional rural fair fun from tractor pulls and animals to games, rides, and fair food each September.

Dining

Morey Dining Hall is the spot for meals on campus, with a wide variety of offerings sure to please all palates! Vegan and vegetarian options are offered daily, and accommodations can be made for students with dietary restrictions.

Residential students are required to enroll in a food plan each semester. Students will have food plan options to choose from and are encouraged to select a plan that most closely matches their dining preferences. Commuting students are encouraged to purchase a food plan if they plan to be on campus during meal periods.

Clubs and Activities

From robotics to astronomy and esports to anime, our students share their passions with each other here, and it’s easy for students to form new clubs, too. Join in. It’s a great way to make new friends and learn new things!

Student Wellness and Safety

Keeping our students safe and healthy are among our top priorities here. A successful learning environment depends on both! Our Wellness staff and Public Safety office provide dedicated support and programming to meet the needs of students and ensure the safety of all.

Health and Wellness Services:

Counseling is available in Conant Hall and is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Wellness Centers provide free, confidential mental health services for all students. We offer emergency response and crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, workshops and presentations, and consultation for the Vermont State University community. Our goal is to help students to develop coping strategies to navigate any challenges they may face.

For medical-related needs, our nurse is located in Keenan Hall and offers first-aid and triage services by a registered nurse, referrals to local medical practices and dentists, and health and wellness information.
