Many Vermont State students commute to campus for classes. But where you choose to live does not impact your access to all of the activities that will make your college experience everything you hope for!

Yes! Every student is strongly encouraged to participate in student activities. There are many social, recreational, and educational programs planned for students and by students. Students are also encouraged to start their own clubs. Learn more about Vermont State clubs and activities.
Yes! The gyms, pools, and fitness centers are available to all Vermont State students. Students just need to show their I.D. card.
All students should read their campus email regularly. Also, watch for signs and posters on the campus bulletin boards, and check the events calendars on the website and Student Success Sharepoint site. (link)
Adverse weather seldom cancels classes. However, students should check the University Alerts page of the website and sign-up for the Rave Guardian App to receive text and email notifications about campus closures. Students should also know each of their professors’ policies on both absences and class cancellation.
