My journey to becoming a nurse has been shaped by perseverance, faith, and a deep passion for caring for others. I have worked in healthcare for nearly ten years, and nursing has always been my calling. Although my path to nursing school was delayed at times, I never gave up on the goal God placed on my heart. I began taking classes at the Community College of Vermont before being accepted into the nursing program at Vermont State University, an opportunity I am incredibly grateful for.

Along the way, I have been blessed with supportive instructors, mentors, and classmates who have helped me grow both academically and personally. My faith in Jesus Christ has been the foundation that carried me through the challenges and reminded me to keep moving forward. This semester, I was honored to make the Dean’s List, something I never imagined possible. I will also be the first person in my family to earn a college degree, which makes this accomplishment even more meaningful.
