My greatest accomplishment, and my deepest inspiration is being a mother to my five-year-old son, with another child soon to join our family. Motherhood transformed my priorities and led me to seek a more balanced and meaningful path.
After 15 years as a licensed veterinary anesthesia technician, I returned to human healthcare, joining Central Vermont Medical Center as a phlebotomist. Graduating from the health system’s LPN and ADN pathway cohort with honors is a milestone I cherish, especially knowing I could celebrate my son’s achievements in swimming and karate along the way.
Balancing school, work, and motherhood has been challenging, but it’s taught me resilience and the importance of community support. Earning my degree represents much more than academic achievement; it’s proof that I can continue to grow professionally without sacrificing what matters most. I look forward to pursuing my BSN and stepping into a graduate program to become a nurse anesthetist.
