My academic journey has been shaped by challenge, encouragement, and meaningful growth. One of my proudest accomplishments was making the Dean’s List, especially while juggling the balance of work, school, and home life. Supportive peers, encouraging assignment feedback, and understanding professors helped me push through the toughest moments and reminded me that I wasn’t alone. Their belief in me—especially one professor who consistently motivated me—gave me the confidence to keep going.
I never planned to pursue a master’s degree, but their encouragement inspired me to take that next step. Earning my degree has strengthened my skills, expanded my career opportunities, and even influenced my daughter, who is now in college following her own dreams. My future goal is to become a school therapist so I can support students the way others supported me. My advice to anyone on a similar path is simple: don’t waste time—chase your dreams.
