My journey has been difficult but very validating. I initially started my college academics at the University of Vermont in 2017. I was on campus and got to experience that side of the college experience. Unfortunately, in 2020 Covid-19 rip apart the world and the college experience and left in person classes to be held online. This transition was tough for me and led me to ultimately putting my degree work on hold and entering the work force.

After years of this and being unsettled in my occupation, I decided to make a change. I changed occupation into one that aligned with my degree field and with their help attempted to return back to school. This was difficult as well but found an accepting and rewarding experience here with Vermont State. I am proud to have worked this hard to achieve this goal and feel really validated that I had the courage and ethic to do it while working a 40-hour week!
