My journey in nursing has been shaped by curiosity, resilience, and a strong commitment to patient care. As a bedside nurse working on a general medicine and telemetry unit, I have had the opportunity to care for patients with complex conditions and witness firsthand how critical thoughtful, evidence-based care can be. Pursuing my BSN while working full time has been both challenging and rewarding. Balancing long shifts, academic responsibilities, and personal life has pushed me to grow in discipline, organization, and perseverance.
One of my proudest accomplishments has been contributing to quality improvement initiatives on my unit, including projects aimed at improving clinical documentation and patient safety. These experiences have strengthened my interest in leadership, innovation, and improving healthcare systems.
Earning my BSN represents an important step toward my long-term goals of continuing to advance my education and expanding my impact in healthcare. My hope is to continue advocating for safe, high-quality patient care while supporting the next generation of nurses.
