My inspiration began at nineteen while finishing cosmetology school, when someone close to me was diagnosed with cancer and undergoing extensive treatment. At the time, I was focused on helping people feel better outwardly, but that experience made me want to help them heal from within. I hadn’t planned on a career in healthcare, but that moment changed my direction.
Like many students, I’ve faced financial, personal, and academic challenges along the way. Pursuing my master’s degree in nursing will not only improve my financial stability but also strengthen my confidence as a medical professional and enhance the care I provide to patients.
To anyone considering furthering their education: keep going. Balancing full-time work and nightly studies is exhausting, but so is remaining where you are. Choose the right kind of hard.
