Returning to school as an adult has been one of the most challenging and rewarding decisions of my life. As a mom of two while working and attending nursing school, balancing responsibilities has not always been easy. I’ve studied during my kids’ practices, reviewed notes late at night after evening shifts, and squeezed in assignments whenever I could. There have been moments of exhaustion and self-doubt, but continuing to push forward has been my proudest accomplishment.

I was inspired to pursue nursing because I have always had a passion for caring for others and wanted to grow both personally and professionally. Earning my degree means creating stability and opportunity for my family while fulfilling a lifelong goal.

This journey has shown my children the importance of perseverance and hard work. My advice to other adult learners is to give yourself grace and keep going, even when it feels overwhelming.
