I am a mother of two children, ages 11 and 7. I experienced a significant loss at an early age, and although I always knew I wanted to become a nurse, I was especially inspired by the nurse who cared for me during that time. She demonstrated kindness, empathy, and excellent nursing practice. Her compassion and professionalism left a lasting impact on me, and those are the same qualities I strive to embody—not only as a nurse, but also as a human being.
I began my healthcare journey with 13 years of experience as an LNA. After being on several waiting lists, I was eventually accepted into the nursing program. I successfully completed my LPN program and was then accepted directly into the ADN RN program.
Earning my degree means more to me than just an accomplishment—it represents determination, hard work, and the belief that you can achieve anything you dream of if you are willing to put in the effort. I strongly believe that anyone can earn a degree at any age, as long as they stay committed and never give up.
I would like to thank the educators who have supported and guided me throughout my journey. I am also deeply grateful for my boyfriend and his family, as well as my own family, for always encouraging me and believing in me. Most importantly, I would like to give a special thank you to my grandma, whose love and support have meant the world to me.
