I am deeply honored to receive this recognition. My journey as a student has been shaped by the sacrifices of my stepfather, who worked tirelessly so I could pursue ski racing and chase my dreams. His dedication taught me resilience, discipline, and gratitude. Those lessons carried me through the challenges of nursing school—through anxiety, long nights, tears, and triumphs.
I chose nursing because I wanted to turn empathy into action and care for others with the same selflessness that was shown to me. This achievement is not mine alone.
