My journey in early childhood education has been built one step at a time. I started from the bottom and worked my way up to becoming a director, learning through every challenge along the way. Today, I balance working full time as a director, going to school full time, and being a mom to my two young boys, the role that means the most to me. Some days are long and exhausting, and there are nights I question how I’ll keep going, but my “why” always pulls me through.

This experience has changed me in so many ways. It has made me stronger, more determined, and more confident in who I am. My staff see my journey and know that I am working hard not just for myself and my family, but for our center and the children we serve. I hope it shows them that growth is always possible.

I am doing this for my boys. I want them to see that no matter your age or where you start, if you put your head and heart into something, you can achieve it. I will be the first in my biological family as I am adopted to earn a degree at this level, and that means everything to me. Every step forward is for them and for the future I believe is possible.
