I’m a returning student who decided to reattend after my previous college closed its atmospheric sciences program in 2026. I decided to come back after dropping out because I wasn’t ready yet straight out of high school. I did remember Lyndon and the ATM program fondly. I got my BA in photo and then transferred over. In fact, I took my own portrait!
I currently work at the school and outside of it to support myself, and doing so has helped me stay focused. I also volunteer for CoCoRaHS (Community Collaborative Rain Hail and Snow Network) and hope to bring awareness to how beneficial it is for meteorologists! If I had to leave any advice, it would be: Don’t be afraid to fail, but always trust your gut. If you don’t believe you’re ready, take a step back and reassess!
