Until 2022, I was a high school teacher in California. Although I had loved my career of 15 years, I was burnt out and looking for a change. We jumped at an opportunity to cross the country and start over. I got a job in sterile processing at SVMC, applied for the nursing pathway program, and started my LPN year in 2024.
I’m currently a nurse in the emergency department and will graduate this May with my ADN. I’m an advocate for doing what you love until you don’t love it anymore, and then finding something else you love. I encourage everyone to discover what that is for you. And btw, I’m not done yet!
