Develop your musical expertise for professional growth and success in the entertainment industry in the Music & Self-Promotion Concentration at Vermont State University’s Lyndon campus. In this vibrant and innovative environment, you’ll complete coursework, collaborative and capstone projects, and professional internships as you work toward a B.S. in Music Business & Industry.

The Music & Self-Promotion concentration curriculum includes coursework in three major areas of study: the music industry, music, and business. You will focus on a wide array of topics, develop your own personal and professional aspirations, and gain experience to promptly respond to the changing entertainment industry of the twenty-first century.

Student Stories

Autumn successfully pitched herself as the artist for the student-run Eneekay record label, gaining a three-song EP and class support to create the program’s first storyline music video as part of the marketing approach. Heading for LA soon, she says, “I’d love to do anything within the song-writing community, I just super enjoy the process. But to perform my own songs would be the icing on the cake!”
