Why Study Renewable Energy at Vermont State?
- A Huge Demand: As states around the U.S. confront climate change, they need professionals to work with renewable energy systems. Our graduates pursue careers as systems designers, systems technicians, field operations technologists, technical managers, and sales technicians employed by renewable energy manufacturers; energy project developers; manufacturing and technology companies; and energy consulting and management firms.
- Jump-Start Your Career: Within six months of graduating, 100 percent of our Renewable Energy alums have accepted employment in the industry, at manufacturers, energy product developers, consulting firms, and elsewhere. Some students have jobs waiting after they graduate.
- Hands-on Learning: You’ll work with professors in our Renewable Energy Lab, with access to diverse energy installations such as a wind turbine, solar array, and anaerobic digester. Well-rounded critical-thinking skills may give you more options for renewable energy jobs.
- Flexible Format: Vermont State’s Renewable Energy degree offers a mix of classroom and real-world education. And some classes are available online, which offers more flexibility for working professionals.
