The Vermont State University Dental Hygiene Clinic on our Williston campus, provides a unique teaching and learning opportunity for students and patients. As a patient in the clinic, comprehensive dental hygiene services will be provided by dental hygiene students link to Dental Hygiene BS program page under direct faculty supervision. If you require additional dental treatment, you will be referred to an alternative source for care within the community. Individuals with certain existing medical conditions may require a medical consultation with their personal physician prior to receiving dental hygiene services in the clinic. Some medical conditions may require taking antibiotics prior to the dental hygiene appointment.
Because we are providing comprehensive preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene care in an educational setting, appointments last longer than those you would experience in a traditional dental office. You should plan on a 2.5 to 3 hour appointment per visit. In most cases, more than one appointment is required to complete your dental hygiene care.
Please note: Care received through the VTSU Dental Hygiene Clinic should not replace regular appointments with your dentist for an exam (at least once/year) and any restorative needs.
Call the clinic at 802.879.5643 to schedule your appointment.
