Vermont State summer and winter class sessions offer opportunities for everyone — new and current students to stay on track or speed up the pace of degree completion, professionals looking to advance their careers, and those simply interested in learning something new.

Current Vermont State Students: Summer and Winter Session Registration and Aid Information

Current students register for summer and winter session courses through the regular student course registration process in Self-Service.

Financial aid may be available for summer classes for students who are eligible for a Federal Pell grant or who have not used all of their federal loan eligibility during the academic year. Contact FinancialAid@VermontState.edu for more information.

Non-Matriculating Students: Registration and Aid Information

Students who are not seeking a VTSU degree register for summer and winter classes as non-matriculating students. Non-matriculating students may register for up to three courses by completing a simple course registration form.

Federal and VTSU financial aid is not available for non-matriculated students. Options may be available through private loans and non-degree grants. Contact FinancialAid@VermontState.edu to answer questions.
