Engineering Capstone Pitch Meeting

Vermont State University offers senior electromechanical/electrical engineering and manufacturing capstone courses each year, where student groups partner with industry to solve specific, real problems presented by organizations. Student groups work with these partners to engineer solutions, then test and refine those solutions, over many months and under the guidance of faculty.

Our students have worked with local/regional/global companies and/or other individuals and organizations. This year, we are starting the capstone projects partway through the fall semester, which gives students half of the fall semester and all of the spring semester to work on the projects. Most of these bachelor’s candidates completed a similar but simpler project when they were sophomores and all of them have had 3.5 years of hands-on training with modern equipment and engineering processes. We invite you to propose a project.
