About Welcome Week
You’ll discover resources.
Vermont State provides lots of services and support. Welcome Week is the perfect opportunity to learn where offices are located and meet the amazing staff members eager to help you. Look for open houses, scavenger hunts, and races that will introduce you to what’s available on your campus.
You’ll make connections.
We want campus to feel like home. You’ll have opportunities to find peers with common interests and to develop a sense of place. We’ll host meet-and-greets for specific groups and clubs, road trips to area highlights, and food truck night with local vendors.
You’ll engage with your community.
You can make a difference. We’ll introduce you to the University’s Mission, Vision, and Community Values, and show you how you can get involved in your new community on and off campus. Welcome Week will include community service events, DEI programming, and job fairs for work-study and off-campus employment.
Online students are encouraged to participate in our online student orientation sessions to get familiar with the resources and supports available to them, as well as how they can be engaged in student life and career development opportunities virtually.
