Practical Nursing Commencement

Graduates and Families,

We are excited to celebrate commencement with you this year! Please find below the guidelines and requirements for attendance for graduates and guests of the Practical Nursing Commencement and Pinning Ceremony!

When and where is commencement?

  • Day and Date: Friday, June 19, 2026
  • Time: To Be Determined
  • Place: Judd Hall

Important reminder: Alcohol is not allowed at commencement.

When Do Graduates Have To Be There?

More details coming. Please wear your cap and gown, which is required if you are walking.

How Long Does the Commencement Ceremony Last?

Typically, the ceremony lasts for 1 1/2 hours. The length of time will vary based on the total number of graduates. All graduates are expected to remain in their seats for the duration of the ceremony out of respect to their fellow graduates and their supporters.

Who is Eligible to Attend the Ceremony?

You must be a matriculated, degree-seeking student and:

  • Behave in a manner appropriate to the dignity of the occasion
  • Meet all degree requirements in the Certificate of Practical Nursing
  • Wear academic regalia in order to process at Commencement
