School of Nursing & Health Sciences

A group of nursing students taking each others blood pressure.

In Vermont State’s Nursing and Health Sciences programs, you’ll excel in in-demand fields with real-world experience built in.

Our facilities include:

  • State-of-the-art simulation nursing labs
  • 24-chair Dental Hygiene Clinic
  • Molar Mobile van for mobile dental hygiene care
  • Veterinary Technology Lab
  • State-of-the-art, research-quality exercise physiology laboratory

With clinical assignments, cooperative opportunities, and/or multi-hour internships, you’ll be well prepared for credentialling exams, to earn your license, or to enter graduate school.

Our graduates excel as physical educators in schools and with community organizations, nurses, dental hygienists, paramedics, veterinary technicians, athletic trainers and leaders, and more.

Julia’s dual degree prepared her for both the exercise science and business aspects of her career, and she’s both assistant director of RecFit and Recreation in St. Johnsbury and the lead personal trainer there. Her latest challenge? Becoming the first female football coach in Vermont!
