Can you imagine living in the mansion of an American business icon? It’s all part of the history of Vermont State University Lyndon.
Vail Museum on the Lyndon campus captures the influence of T.N. Vail on the region, the essence of this grand era, as well as the full 100+ year legacy of VTSU Lyndon – including Teacher Training, Lyndon Normal School, Lyndon Teachers College, Lyndon State College, Northern Vermont University – Lyndon, and now VTSU Lyndon.
Manor Vail Society – Lyndon curates and maintains the Vail Museum collection. We are an all-volunteer alumni group that is always looking for help to achieve our mission. If you’d like to join MVS – Lyndon or work on a special project, please get in touch by email at Alumni@VermontState.edu.

Our Newest Installation
The Lyndon Timeline is a 17+ linear foot backlit mural just outside the Vail Museum that depicts Lyndon’s legacy from the beginning through the conclusion of the NVU era. It’s a vivid presentation of images and text made possible through a generous gift from Dick and Nancy Collins. The late Dick Collins, LTC ’53, founded MVS – Lyndon in 2009. The Lyndon Timeline is an indelible tribute to his efforts to preserve the history of the school he loved.
