We’re on the hunt for energetic, creative students who want to show the world what life at Vermont State University is really like — behind the scenes, unfiltered, and all YOU. Meet our current ambassadors and get in touch if you’re interesting in joining the program.

Social media ambassadors play an important role in highlighting safe and positive events on campus. Students are required to follow VTSU’s Student Code of Conduct and Social Media policies.

“Hello, my name is Carissa Challinor and I am a fourth year at Vermont State University Castleton. I am majoring in Media and Communications with a concentration in Film Production. As well as working on two minors in Dance and Theater.

My life revolves around writing scripts, directing films, performing on the stage, and participating in a wide range of theater/film-based clubs. I’m very excited to be a social media student ambassador for my university to help connect to potential students. As well as create a platform that anyone can relate to and learn more about the different pathways one can take in college.”

“Hello, my name is Matthew Gonyeau, I am a senior at VTSU Lyndon majoring in Business with a concentration in Sports Management from Saint Albans, Vermont. I’m currently captain of the baseball team and completing my internship as an Admissions Assistant with the university. I enjoy being outside, fishing, working out, playing sports, shooting darts, cliff jumping, and hanging out with friends. I am very grateful and excited to be a social media student ambassador to help film and create content that shows people what it’s like to be a Lyndon Hornet and be a part of VTSU”
