Vermont State’s peer and professional tutors offer individual support to help you tackle immediate academic challenges in your classes, and help you develop the tools you need to succeed long-term.
How to Access Support
- Connect with Drop-in Tutors for help as needed, online or on campus.
- Access free tutoring 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through Tutor.com from any Canvas course.
- After using Tutor.com twice for a course or seeing if drop-in tutoring meets your needs, you can schedule regular, ongoing sessions with a Vermont State tutor using our Tutor Request form.
Tutor Requests and Drop-In Schedule
Please follow these steps before requesting a tutor:
- Attend class for the first full week. Sometimes just one more class makes the material clearer.
- Talk with your professor. Professors are available during regular office hours to answer your questions and provide guidance.
- Meet with one of our academic coordinators to discuss your specific academic need.
- Try Tutor.com or our drop-in times at least twice for the course.
